Hours.gg publishes gaming gear rankings backed by verified playtime and provides separate community features. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information. We are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations.

Steam Integration

Hours.gg uses Steam OpenID for authentication and the Steam Web API to verify gaming credentials.

Cookies and analytics

Basic analytics is on by default and can be turned off in cookie preferences. PostHog and Vercel Analytics help us understand visits and product interactions. PostHog events can be associated with your internal account identifier when you sign in. Session recording is off unless you enable it, and also requires analytics to be enabled.

We store your preferences in your browser and send the analytics preference with requests so server events respect the same choice. When analytics is enabled, a temporary identifier connects the steps of a Steam sign-in and setup flow for up to 30 minutes. Turning analytics off clears that identifier and stops future analytics capture; it does not prevent signing in or saving gear.

Analytics: The temporary sign-in attribution cookie expires after 30 minutes. Turning off analytics stops future collection; it does not erase previously collected events.
